The brains of the operation, Scott and Rich, met while working at Jim Dandy’s, and later attended LCCC for restaurant management. Together, they opened Hops & Barleys in a building chosen for its rich historical value.

Since February of 1994, Hops & Barleys has become a local favorite in the NEPA area, thanks to the hard work of Scott and Rich. Hops & Barleys is widely known for its delicious meals, large portions, friendly staff, drink variety, theme nights, and other special events.

Don’t think they’ve lost their dedication to the restaurant after so much success. They are still very hands-on at the restaurant, you’ll always see at least one of them working each shift. Even Scott’s wife, Donna, worked as a waitress when the business first started. Their hard work and passion shines through in all they do, making Hops & Barleys a comfortable, friendly place to call a second home.
